Icon Set 1

These are the 1st 12 icons but I still need section labels for the books. These are just the icons I saw at the library that are image based.

Library Icon Sketches

Here are some of the sketches I have done for the icons around the library.

Euless Public Library Logo

I made this logo but I am going to change the font to a serif font instead so that it does not look too modern. I am also going to work on the logo so that it looks more like a book turning pages.

Euless Public Library Pics

I went to the Euless Public Library and took some pictures. I only got a couple of the Inside because my batteries ran out.

Library Pics

These are the pictures for the Arlington Central Public Library. There was not much to take pictures of a lot of their signs were just white paper with black text. I did get a brochure that has a logo but that was about it for the Arlington Central Library

Switching to Arlington Public Library

Needless to say I didnt make it to the Euless Public Library yesterday. I will now be visiting the Arlington Central Library instead. Once my head stops hurting so much I will go take pictures but I already have some logos going from visiting a public library in North Austin this weekend

Rain and Fast Cars Dont Mix

So I was coming back from getting some food and we started to hydroplane i guess from going to fast in the rain. lost control of the car and we spun 180 degrees crossing 183W and smacked into a guard rail. The EMTs let us go but my head and shoulder are hurting so I am going to lay down and take a break from homework for a few hours now.

Drill Icon Progression 4

These pictures are the progressions of the drill icon. Every time I made a change, I printed it out and stood from various distances to see what needed to be changed or tweaked until I got a final icon.

Drill Icon Progression 3

This is the icon has no center white space in the handle. I made these changes to see how it would look without the center. After making the changes I still liked the icon before it because it made it look really bulky. I still need to make some minor changes until it is ready.

Drill Icon Progression 2

I sketched out the trigger again because I was not satisfied with the 1st icon. I made some other changes as well after printing the 1st icon out. I worked in Adobe Illustrator this time to make the second icon.

Drill Icon Progression 1

Here is my drill icon after I traced it in Adobe InDesign. There is some modifying that I think can be done.

Drill Icon

This is the first sketch of my drill icon. There is still some modifying to do before I get a final icon.
